Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To maintain quality of real-time applications such as video streaming, it is necessary to adopt a quality-control method by which we manage end-to-end network resource optimally, combining a network resource control based on estimation of the degree of network congestion with a server-client coordinated quality control. And we developed an adaptive admission-control method based on per-user quality statistics as one of such quality-control methods. And concerning the method, as this paper describes, we evaluated the upper limit of user-call admission rate at which we can maintain user-subjective quality under arbitrary conditions of ratio of streaming bandwidth to bottleneck-link bandwidth.
