Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) One of current hot topics is streaming services which aim to distribute multimedia data in real-time. A server which provides streaming services requires high processing power and high reliability. In this paper, we propose a new, low-cost, and easy implementation scheme which establishes a fault-tolerant streaming service by using clustering technique. Our approach is based on anycasting for load balancing in the clustered servers. We implement our proposed architecture and verify that our architecture provides streaming service continuously without any stopping of reproduction even if some streaming servers fail while in service.
