Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To meet the demand of scalability improvement of IP VPN service platforms, we have proposed a tera-bit super network (TSN). In a TSN, hub-and-spoke IP routing and cut-through IP forwarding are hybridized to improve IP-layer scalability. This paper evaluates a TSN architecture against BGP/MPLS IP VPNs as the conventional architecture from the viewpoint of IP-layer scalability and shows its advantages. The evaluation result shows that advantages of a TSN architecture increases when the number of VPNs composed of a thousand of subnets exceeds 100.
