Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we show the case studies of the performance analysis of the distributed applications based on the service-oriented architecture by using the developed simulation models on OPNET. Here we consider the following three case studies: (1) Remote lookup procedure and cache mechanism, which is required to use the external resources, (2) Dynamic resource sharing according to the server congestion status, and (3) Service acceptance control scheme, which adapts to the server load and works on Lookup servers. The developed simulation models can take account of the several performance factors such as the customized control scheme, transport protocol, server processing ability, and so on. Therefore, the developed simulation model enables us to predict the performance of the distributed application based on the service-oriented architecture before the programmer codes the application program and IT system manager deploys the application over the enterprise.
