Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In contents delivery networks, the traffic of large-size contents will cause heavy congestion especially at peak usage hours. One method to cope with this problem is to use a time-dependent multi-class tariff. The price of high priority class is high, and that of low priority class is low. At peak usage hours, the prices will be higher, especially the price of high priority class will be much higher. This leads users to off-peak usage hours, and the traffic of the day will be smoothed. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of this system from the viewpoint of users' utility.
