Abstract(in English) For the purpose of foundation of mobile multimedia society, the part of broadband communication of the next generation of the mobile communication should be supported with the wireless LAN technologies. Especially for the applications in the outdoor, wireless LAN is required several features, which are high mobility as much as cellular systems have and high data rate which can not be obtained with cellular systems. The authors confirmed those capabilities using 5GHz OFDM wireless LAN system . As for high-speed mobile system, Japan Railway's express train "Shikoku Ishizuchi" was chosen and a success of transmission on 95km/hour up to the distance of 800 meters. As for high data uplink requirement, the emergency medical system was recommended and lOMbps wireless uplink was built, transmitting information from the cardiograph, video signal from the ultrasonic diagnostic, video signal viewing the patient, and scene of the accident.
