Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Where UDP stream flows and other usual application traffic are aggregated on a link, there are many problems because different TCP and UDP begaviors cause negative interactions. From the reason, we have proposed a method which reduces their nagative interactions. From the reason, we have proposed a method which reduces their negative interactions. In our method, we proposed that stream flow packets should be dropped earlier than other flow packets when congestion occurs. In this paper, we reveal how to decide parameter settings of RIO-C to implement the strategy of dropping stream flow packets early. First, we specify which parameters determine the effect ot the strategy. Second, we describe the effective parameter setting we obtained from various pattern sumulation experiments, and show that the setting is widely usable as the default value of our system.
