Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we propose a broadcast streaming media gateway that receives content from content delivery networks (CDNs) and broadcast it on radio links. The gateway transforms 3GPP-compliant streaming protocols into mobile broadcast ones, and it enables large-scale, efficient media delivery by utilizing CDN on backbone networks and broadcast on radio links. It also realizes spotted broadcasting on limited area. We also report implementation of this gateway. |
