Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In SCTP, path switching time becomes 63s, that cannot be acceptable for many applications. This long time comes from that the default setting of Path.Max.Retrans is large. Thus, we can reduce this time if we choose small value. However, choosing small value may cause unnecessary oscillation of path switching. In this paper, we examine this oscillation including its frequency, throughput reduction and so on. Moreover, we consider how to reduce the oscillation with small path switching time.
