Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have seen many researches about the network with inter-domain QoS control system based on policy management. But, adjusting them to real networks is limited because they are effective means only in Autonomous Systems with same policy. QoS networks maybe have the chance to use best effort networks with much available bandwidth as the part of their system. This paper proposes the way to estimate the available bandwidth of best effort network by the delay and standard deviation of probe packets carried from a transmitting network to a receiving network and executes the simulation of adopting the proposed technique to the selection of network paths.
