Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Real-time applications, such as VoIP and Video Conference, have been widely introduced to the Internet. We propose Packet Merge technique to improve QoS degradation caused by many and small packets that sending by real-time application. In this paper, we shows the procedure which computes QoS from a traffic parameter and a network performance parameter. In addition, we evaluate improvement effect of QoS by proposed technique theoretically. Moreover, we discuss about necessary performance of packet processing to implementation Packet Merge mechanism.
