Wireless Link Selection Methods for Next Generation Networks

Abstract(in English) In next generation mobile networks, it is expected that wireless terminals will have several wireless access interfaces and currently there are already some terminals with more than one interface. It is essential to know how to select the appropriate wireless interfaces. In this paper, methods to select appropriate wireless links from terminal side or network side are proposed. In detail, one method is to select the preferred radio access interface by considering QoS requirements, media type, etc., at the terminal and the other method is to select the appropriate wireless link by cooperating the terminals and QoS servers located in the networks.
