Abstract(in English) | Low cost & large data transfer demands for a broadband internet access or an enterprise information strategy in a metro area are raised. Data transmission costs can be drastically reduced by using a wavelength multiplexing technology. Data switching costs by using a WDM and an optical switching technology, however, still remain high. In the paper, a wavelength switching and an optical path allocation scheme for a metro area optical network architecture are proposed and the future optical network to make progress is investigated. |
