Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the data service of the 3rd generation mobile phone system, TCP throughput is affected by dynamic bandwidth assignment based on the number of users in a cell and data traffic of a user etc. But there is a situation that, even if a user can get enough bandwidth for a data communication, he can't get a good TCP throughput. It seems that this i s caused by a delay or an error in the radio link of 3G mobile. The authors have made the computer simulation software of cdma2000 1x system, which is one of 3G mobile systems, for investing a behavior of user traffic. In this paper, we describe the analysis and the evaluation of TCP performance on cdma 2000 1x radio link protocol, based on the simulations performed by combinations of various system parameters of cdma2000 1x system and TCP parameters.
