Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) New router architecture is necessary to achieve large-bandwidth fine-grain communication required by the future ubiquitous environment. A hybrid structure of switch and arbiter LAFISA (LArge-bandwidth FIne-grain Switching Arbiter) is a new element of router architecture. In this report LAFISA router, based on LAFISA, is also proposed. In LAFISA router, pipeline processing through a hierarchical tree-structure enables a large-bandwidth communication. Also, as each pipeline stage has short critical path, it is suitable for a fine-grain communication.
