Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to realize broadband data services and to cope with huge number of users, the system capability of high capacity will become the important object of the new generation multimedia mobile communication system, next to the IMT-2000 system. As one of the efficient technique for this purpose, this paper proposes a new radio access method introducing the time division beam control technique to the conventional space division multiple access (SDMA) using adaptive array antennas. When this technique named TSDMA is adopted to the cellular SDMA system, the interference between beams of neighboring base stations can be avoided by using different time slots between beams. In this paper, the spectrum efficiency improvement is analyzed to the current TDMA cellular system with and without TSDMA technique.
