Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this work was to compose simulated nodular shadows on chest images and to evaluate the likelihood of real nodular images. The simulated nodules were based on ellipse areas with various size and density created by a random procedure. The simulated nodules were superimposed on chest images to estimate the likelihood of real nodular ones by ROC analysis. As an initial result, the Az value of confidence rate for simulated nodules was about 0.5. The value indicated that the interpreter could not tell whether the simulated image was real or not.
