Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Several valuable visualization methods using CT/MR data have been invented. Especially, Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) is the representative method because of its easiness and usefulness. The best advantage of it is to consolidate important information to only one image that has high contrast from volume data set, however it also has disadvantage to lose depth information at the same time. We proposed Moments-Based Intensity Projection Method (MBM) which brings a high contrast image with having depth information. This method could demonstrate of overlap of objects with high contrast in the vessel phantom and clinical images, and showed its effectiveness and great possibility to be substitute method of MIP.
