Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes an evolutional ubiquitous platform for intelligent transport systems (EUPITS) including elemental techniques and applications toward its realization. The communication sub-platform in the EUPITS consists of mobile phone systems, PHS, wireless LANs, etc., and requires media selection techniques according to required QoS. On the other hand, the positioning sub-platform in the EUPITS consists of the GPS, markers positioning systems, etc. This paper proposes the M-sequence multimodal markers positioning system for ITS ("M-CublTS"), and presents application examples on the EUPITS supposing "M-CublTS". As an example, the WYSIWIAS pedestrian Navigator is proposed. Finally several discussions about basic approach are carried out.
