Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report describes a real-time 3-dimensional head tracking for an indoor wearable navigation system using Augmented Reality, which provides information of navigation as virtual objects overlaid on the real scene. We propose a hybrid tracking with a pair of stereo-camera and an orientation sensor, which localizes a 3-dimensional position and orientation of a user's head. We use some infrared beacons located in the workspace discretely as fiducial markers. Through some experiments, we show that this tracking system has enough accuracy to provide information of navigation.
