Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Usually, 3D CG is rendered as raster graphic. But, vector graphics has merit compared with raster graphics that it can get optimum image in any resolution. Especially, it is suitable for line draw graphics. In this paper, we describe about contour extracting method from 3D free form surface model to render contour as vector graphics. In vector graphics, curve is represented in 3rd order Bezier curve form, so it is necessary for contour to be approximated by Bezier curve. In this paper, we propose approximation technique that approximates contour with Bezier curve in surface parameter space, then it is substituted in surface equation (this represents approximated contour generator), and approximates it by Bezier curve in 3D space.
