Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, reliability requirements such as accuracy, integrity etc. have been used for describing the required navigation performance (RNP) necessary for aircraft operation in a specified airspace. Mathematical collision risk models have been used for the safety assessment of separation minima applied to RNP certified aircraft. The lateral overlap probability is one of the key parameters of collision risk models and this depends on the lateral path-keeping error distribution of aircraft. This paper deals with the characteristics of the lateral overlap probability based on a distribution model of the lateral path-keeping errors. A mixture model using a Gaussian and double exponential distribution is proposed as a model which meets with the RNP requirements.
