Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For today's universities, broadband network computing with freer accessibilities toward resources has become one of the requirements to continue as a higher educational institution. At the same time, counter measures against security-compromising threats, like intrusions to the servers and resources, spams, viruses and worms, are becoming a pressing issue to the administrators. Sophia is no exception. Our school system was architected under the contradicting requirements of improved usability and adequate security while minimizing administrative cost. This paper reports the deployment of the measures against the threats to campus network of 80 servers and 700 clients under the computer center.
