Abstract(in English) | We propose a novel type of hole-assisited single-mode fiber which has a conventional raised-index core surrounded by two layers of air-holes with different sizes. The fiber has single-mode operation from 1.24μm and shows a bending loss of 0.062 dB/turn at 1.55 μm for a bending diameter of 10 mm and a splicing loss of 0.05 dB for fusion-splicing to a conventional single-mode fiber. |
