Abstract(in English) | Dispersion Management Line has considerable attention as future 40Gb/s Long-haul WDM transmission line. Conventionally, SMF+RDF was developed as Dispersion Management Line suitable for 10Gb/s transmission, but for the future 40Gb/s transmission, the accumulated dispersion should be reduced. To achieve low accumulated dispersion, there are two methods of using multiple configurations and MDF. In this report, we investigated about attenuation reduction of transmission line, which is essential for multiple configurations, and attenuation reduction and enlarging Aeff of MDF. Then it has been shown that these transmission lines have high potential for future 40Gb/s WDM transmission. |
