Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical fibers have been using under the various environment accompanied with the spread of FTTH (Fiber to the Home). The fatigue characteristic of optical fibers is the most important parameters in ensuring the long-term reliability of such fibers. Not only environment of measurement but also the type of coatings affects the fatigue characteristic of optical fibers. In this paper, we investigate the relationship between the fatigue Properties and the various characteristics of UV-cured coatings. Then we report the fatigue properties and fiber strength after aging under various environments.
