Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Image reconstruction in time-resolved optical tomography (OT) utilizing only reflectance of inhomogeneous scattering medium has been studied, which is essential for, applying OT to medium with large optical density. The image reconstruction consists of three parts: 1) A finite difference time domain analysis is used for predicting reflectance and its derivative with respect to optical parameters in inhomogeneous scattering medium; 2) An objective function that describes difference between predicted and measured reflectance; 3) Successive minimization of the objective function for the subsets of the optical parameters characterized by the independence of the time-resolved reflectance derivatives. It has been confirmed that the code works well for inhomogeneous scattering medium consists of 18 regions utilizing only reflectance.
