Abstract(in English) | We examined the capability of tuning the long period fiber grating (LPFG) with locally loading medium that either the resonant wavelength or the transmittance could be controllable. In this study, we propose the modified configuration that both higher and lower refractive index mediums are simultaneously loaded. Numerically analyzed results show that the resonant wavelength could be tuned by loading low refractive index medium, while its transmittance was simultaneously adjusted by loading high refractive index medium. In addition, it was also clarified that appropriate loading configuration shows smooth tuning characteristics. |
