Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We describe a technique for designing an optimum dispersion compensation fiber (DCF) for a distributed Raman amplification (DRA) transmission system using a 1.31μm zero-dispersion single mode fiber. We clarify the relationship between fiber parameters of a DCF and improvement in a signal to noise ratio (SNR) characteristic. Moreover, we show the optimization method of a DCF with W-type index profile.
