Study on Optical Fiber Magnetometer Using Mach-Zehnder Interferometer

Abstract(in English) We have studied on optical fiber magnetometer using Mach-Zehnder interferometer, which can detect a physical quantity sensitively. A metal-coated optical fiber, which is injected with an electrical current into its jacket, is used for magnetic field detection. The fiber is coiled to receive Lorentzian force efficiently. The prototype of the magnetometer shows high stability and low drift for practical use.
