Abstract(in English) | As an optical spectrum synthesizer, a new planer light-wave circuit device based on attenuation and phase tunable arrayed wave-guide grating (AWG) is proposed and experimentally tested. Its tuning time is less than 3 ms. As its application to photonic network, 20 to 160 GHz variable rate pulse train generation, carrier suppressed return to zero (CS-RZ) pulse train generation, waveform shaping, and spectrum domain matched filtering systems are proposed and experimentally demonstrated. |
