Abstract(in English) | We need to control a chromatic dispersion more accurately, since an optical transmission speed is higher bit rate. To compensate the varying chromatic dispersion, variable dispersion compensators have been proposed actively. This time, we have proposed a novel variable dispersion compensator, which has compactness and very simple motion controllability, applied an Arrayed-Waveguide Grating (AWG) using a silica-based PLC. Then we have confirmed the principle of operation. |
