Numerical Analysis of Propagation Characteristics for TE Waves along Circular Bends of Silver Ion-Exchanged Glass Waveguides

Abstract(in English) The Ag ion-exchanged waveguides are fabricated from silver nitrate melt diluted with sodium nitrate. The propagation characteristics of TE waves along circularly bent exchanged waveguides are calculated by the modal matching method. The pure bend loss for such waveguides are estimated from the obtained results and related with the fabrication conditions.
