Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is important for level margin designs of transmission line to grasp the loss characteristics which occur during maintenance works of optical fibers. Especially, in C and L bands used in wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) systems, the importance is extremely high, because the bending losses may easily occur in these wavelength bands. In this paper, we report the measurement results of loss characteristics in standard single-mode fiber (SMF), which occur during various works on an optical cable closure.
