Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We have demonstrated a supercontinuum (SC) spectrum generation utilizing adiabatic compression in Raman amplifier. For the SC generation, it simply requires a dispersion-shifted fiber as a counter-pumped Raman gain medium. Since the uniformity of the SC spectrum depends on the Raman gain spectrum, the uniformity can be improved by adjusting wavelength and power of the pump source. A 16-nm-wide uniform SC spectrum with the power variation less than 3 dB is generated from an 18.0 ps pulse-width seed pulse produced by an electroabsorption modulated CW light source. |
