Abstract(in English) | We have analyzed and examined the method for controlling the resonance characteristics by locally loading medium with different refractive index outside the cladding of long-period fiber grating (LPFG). In the previous works, its loading part was fixed from the grating edge. In this study, we propose the new method to be varied the loading position. By using this method, the resonance depth and the resonance wavelength could be fine-tuned. Furthermore, when the low refractive index medium is loaded to shift the resonance wavelength, the resonance depth shows smaller change than that of the previous works. |
