Abstract(in English) In the wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) optical transmission system using Er-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA), polarization-maintaining optical fiber coupler is one of the key device as optical multiplexer/demultiplexer. In this report, the automatic measurement system for polarization and spectral response characteristics of polarization maintaining optical fiber couplers is developed, and the results are presented.
