Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, global environmental pollution by chemical toxicants has been increased and its effects to living bodies become critical situation. Living bodies usually induce cytochrome P450 ( CYP) to remove the toxicants by metabolism reaction. However, some particular molecular types of CYP, CYP1A for example, are more dangerous because they could drive cancer development and thus it may be important, for more effective pollution assessment, to watch the activity of such isozymes. This report proposes a new method for environmental pollution assessment based on examination of cytochrome P450 in living bodies using optical fiber sensing technique. We here pay attention to fishes from nature. Discussions on the test method and experimental results will be presented.
