Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the meteorological observations, the size and shape of precipitating particle are the most important parameter. Measurement of particle by light transmittance is simple and easy. In this report, the particle are measured optically in their natural precipitation. The particle diameter is ranged between 50 microns and 3mm. The transmission through the water droplet is measured. The change of transmittance as a function of the dropping time is experimentally obtained. The samples are standard-size polyester particle, opaque droplet and glass sphere. The dispersion property is measured when the white laser incidents the model of water droplet. This method can be applied to the experimental research of the various kinds of aerosol.
