Abstract(in English) We report a performance of OCDM encoder/decoder using a SSFBG with multi-point phase shift structure. First, we describe the design of SSFBG as OCDM encoder/decoder and a production method of the phase shift structure, and show the optical characteristics of the prototype SSFBG (15chips, duration time 360ps). Second, we report the verification of OCDM encoder/decoder using a SSFBG with multi-point phase shift structure. In addition, we have demonstrated a encoding / decoding by data rate enhancement method in which encoding/decoding is performed in a shorter data cycle than a duration time. The feasibility of this method is explained by a group delay characteristic of SSFBG.
