Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We attempted to enlarge in the absorption coefficient and the absolute value of the chromatic dispersion to suppress non-linear effects in EDF. Er concentration increased by additions of La ion as concentration quenching inhibitors, and the overlap integral enlarged by adopting the W-shape index profile. Consequently, we achieved very high absorption coefficient. Furthermore, we attained large absolute value of the chromatic dispersion without decreasing amplification performance by optimizing refractive index profile. As a result, we realized extremely low non-linear VI-shape ELDF.
