Abstract(in English) | Temperature-dependence of a reflected wavelength of Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) was controlled using polyethylene Fiber Reinforced Plastics (FRP) substrates composed of high-strength polyethylene fiber (Dyneema). It is shown that any temperature dependence of the reflected wavelength of FBG between 0.0092 nm/℃ and -0.0036 nm/℃ is possible using the FRPs with different fiber fractions of Dyneema. Athermalization of the FBGs can be obtainable using the FRP with a fiber fraction of 80% Dyneema. The method to control the absolute wavelength of the FBG is contrived for the first time. |
