Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We extended Ethernet to a wide area by optical media converters and examined the characteristic of the throughput at that time. When round trip time of the Ethernet network increases at 40ms, it is clear that zone use efficiency became 10% or less in 100Mbps. When packet loss occurred, it turns out that a broadband circuit receives more influence in the throughput.
