Self-Excited Continuous Current Mode ZVS Flyback Converter

Abstract(in English) A novel self-excited continuous current mode zero-voltage-switching flyback converter is presented. This converter has operated in a self-excited continuous current mode and achieved the zero-voltage-switching by utilizing leakage inductance of a transformer. This paper analyzes the behavior of static and dynamic characteristics by using extending state-space-averaging method and presents design equations and ZVS conditions based on this analysis. And the analysis has verified by experiments. Experimental results are obtained that this converter achieves high efficiency of 94.1% at 24V, 6A output and high efficiency of 90.0% at 24V, 15A output, and 360W high power of about 1.8 times as compared with a current mode converter in same condition of a transformer.
