Abstract(in English) | The author has been engaged in research and development activities regarding the wireless communications, since joining KDDI Corporation. The first work is the digitalization of the analog INMARSAT satellite communication, which includes the development of experimental equipment and the field trial test at sea. The specifications of the equipment and experimental results are effectively utilized in present digital INMARSAT system. In the ATR (Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International), the author was working for the optical inter-satellite communication and the DBF (Digital Beam Forming) antenna. As for the optical inter-satellite communication, he has developed the high power optical laser transmitter with 100 mW. In recent years, efficient use of frequency resources in mobile radio service are required, since the number of the user in the cellular phone system has explosively increased. One scheme to resolve such frequency issue is the cognitive radio technique. Since 2005 year, he has been engaged in the research project regarding the cognitive radio, which is founded by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in Japan. The obtained technical knowledges are contributed to the development of Report in the ITU-R (International Telecommunication Union, Radiocommunication Sector). In this talk, the author will state a finding obtained from the above activities and experiences. |
