Abstract(in English) | National Institute of Information and Communications Technology is advancing research projects to realize ultrahigh-speed communication of international Internet access such as Wideband Internet Technology Test Demo Satellite (WINDS) using Ka band in the Asia-Pacific region. In ITU-R, in order torealize global service, service of satellite communication system for mobile of Ka band mobile station (ESIM: Earth station in motion) using Ka band has been studied. The recognition is important for dynamic placement of equipment. Especially, in satellite communication using radio frequency Ka band, radio wave attenuation due to rain affects communication line, therefore dynamic rain attenuation model of rainfall amount and rainfall is required to perform smooth communication. The WINDS project measures measurement data of rain-fall intensity and data of Ka band reception level fluctuation since 2008. In this presentation, we propose a rain attenuation model corresponding to the mobile earth station and verify its characteristics. |
