An Energy-harvesting-aware Routing Algorithm Considering Residual Capacity of Batteries for WSN

Abstract(in English) In a wireless sensor network, a large number of sensor nodes equipped with calculation, sensing, and wirelesscommunication devices are arranged. The data obtained by observing surroundings with a sensor is relayed to neighboring sensor nodes, then forwarded to the sink node in the network. For a huge scale WSN, it is hard to charge the battery of all the sensor nodes. Thus, energy harvesting which the sensor nodes obtain energy from the surrounding environment attracts our attention. Many harvesting-aware routing algorithms have been proposed, but these algorithms did not consider the residual capacity of battery in the nodes. This paper proposes a routing algorithm which considers energy harvesting and residual battery capacity and is introduced the ant colony optimization. The simulation experiments evaluate the total amount of arrival data, packet transmission energy, network life time to show the validation of the proposed method
