Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The radar cross-section (RCS) estimation for an electrically large object employs the different method from the traditional measurement in far-field region, which is not adequate to the large object. For the large object measurement, there are mainly two ways. One is the compact-range measurement, which places the object in well-designed quiet phase using large parabolic reflector. Another one is the near-field to far-field transformation method (NFFFT), which translates the pick-up near-field data in order to derive its far RCS of the object. In this paper, we discuss about the partial multiple reflection among the object, which seems the only defect feature of NFFFT. We have measured a 2-face corner-reflector NFFFT that indicates the weak difference near side-lobe region of the reflector's front direction depending on the distance between probing antenna and the reflector.
