Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, a service has been proposed to improve immersion by adding a binaural signal to the omnidirectional image. Combining a spherical microphone array and a head-related transfer function (HRTF) is one of the best-known method for binaural signal reproduction. However, there is a problem that the position of the listener is fixed at the position of the microphone array. In this paper, we propose a method to estimate HRTF at an arbitrary position from HRTF measured in whole sphere direction at a certain distance. In the proposed method, HRTF, considered as a function of distance and angle, is estimated by angle interpolation and distance correction using Distance Variation Function. By combining the estimated HRTF with a spherical microphone array, we can reproduce a binaural signal with perception of movement. We confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed method using computer simulation. The results showed it is possible to generate the binaural signal at an arbitrary position. We confirmed it is possible to reproduce a binaural signal with perception of movement by subjective evaluation experiments.
