[Invited Talk] Distributed Edge Computing Accelerated by Wireless Backhaul

Abstract(in English) Large scale deployment of small cells is the key factor to let 5G cellular systems succeed. Backhaul network is barrier to the success because large volume of LAN cabling increases total cost of ownership. Wireless backhaul can reduce such cost and especially wireless multihop backhaul can bring more freedom in small cell deployment. Small cells distributed by wireless backhaul can also have functionality of edge computer. This talk is to consider how the next generation mobile communication system does change from the past standards by having edge computing functionality and what we can do with the distributed edge computing system on underlaid small cells.
